The UIC 895 OR is the only international  standard for rolling stock power cables. This document classifies cables according to the following performances:

• Voltage ratings : 750V - 1500V - 3000V
• Oil and fuel resistance :
   Category I : no resistance to mineral oil type IRM 902 and fuel
   Category II : resistance to IRM902 mineral oil only
   Category III : resistance to IRM902 mineral oil and fuel IRM 903
• Working conductor temperature range :
   70°C (index A)
   or 100°C (index B)
• Fire performance :
   Flame retardant : type 1
   Fire retardant : type 2
