Recharged for Growth：Group CEO Julien Hueber Visits in China

Last week, we had the honor to host our CEO,  Julien HUEBER in China.

Julien held a town hall meeting with all Nexans China employees. During his visit to China, Julien hosted a Recharged session with our teams, sharing the Group's vision, strategy and ambitions and what they mean for Nexans China. Most importantly, he created space for open and direct dialogue with our team, during Q&A section.💬

During business review, Julien highlighted that safety is fundamental for the plant, and that workplace safety must remain the top operational priority. Julien expected that Nexans China should improve the plant competitiveness in order to:

     1) Grow in local market on selected key verticals;

     2) Become a hub for export business to support the growth of Nexans business in other countries.

Meanwhile, by leveraging the resource in China, the plant should aim to move to the next generation of robotization and digitization. Julien emphasized Nexans China should continue to grow Accessory business. 

Beyond internal meetings, Julien had a dialogue with the Chief China Economist of BNP PARIBAS. They had fruitful exchanges on China macro-economic outlook, focusing on AI growth, green transition, electricity supply, export competitiveness. The financial professions held the view that China has a long-termism mindset, while there are still some internal issues to be addressed in China macro-economics.
